罗杰·狄金斯

他母亲是演员約瑟芬·梅森（Josephine (née Messum)），父亲是建筑工人威廉·艾伯特·戴健士（William Albert Deakins）。他小时候喜欢绘画。后来进入巴夫艺术设计学院（Bath School of Art and Design）学习形象设计。在那里他对摄影产生了兴趣，并对此有很好的天赋。后来又进入国家电影和电视学院（National Film and Television School）学习。

1991年12月11日，他与剧本指导伊莎貝拉·詹姆士·皮爾佛伊·（Isabella James Purefoy Ellis）结婚。
